Raven-hued paws pressed against the earth, the grass bending under her weight as pads sank softly into the soil. Bound tassel twitched behind her as auds leaned forward, slitted gaze slowly soaking in her surroundings. The running waters of the brook were calming, however muscles refused to relax. Wolf stood rigid, however form still held it’s grace. Golden eyes blinked, attention turning itself to the stream as steps carried her toward it. Glints of silver shimmered from beneath the water’s surface, their quick, almost nervous movements revealing them as fish. Ivory wings folded themselves to her back, lips pressed firmly into a straight line as lids drooped over her gaze as she pulled her eyes from the crystalline waters. Inaudible sigh forced itself through her leathery nose as she pulled her hind legs beneath her, sinking into her haunches slowly. Tail curled itself around her body, resting itself over slender paws. Ebon muzzle parted in a yawn, jaws widening before snapping shut again. Muscles finally gave way, shoulders hanging in a relaxed boredom as she stared ahead blankly. Front paws slid from beneath her, body sliding to the ground as feet dipped themselves in the brook’s cool water. A breeze, one much too warm for her liking, swept over her. Pelt rippled under it’s force as ears pasted themselves to her skull, serious expression continuing to cling to her face. Tail flicked irritably before chin was set on her dark forelegs, ears left erect and swiveling so as to keep her aware of any changes in the area. As the wind died she rolled onto her side, tilting her head to stare into the sky. Although she did enjoy the peacefulness that seemed to have swallowed the area, she couldn’t help but grow tired of it.
Gray clouds loomed in the once blue sky, a shadow hanging over the land that brought about a much needed cool. Spring had come much too quickly for this wolf. The sun had begun to fall, sinking slowly into the horizon and leaving behind it’s usual show of reds and purples, the dull clouds in the distance becoming tinged with color. Naku of course had no interest in this, these colors meant only that night was approaching. She’d been wandering and needed the rest desperately, however she hid her tiredness easily. Chest expanded as she pulled in a deep breath, waiting impatiently for the sun to disappear and the moon to take its place. Although she was normally more of the night-type, she found herself too spent to continue. The breath was released slowly, tension forced to leave her body as lids shut over her eyes.
